< Getting Started

Installation of Phantasy Star Portable 2 Infinity could not be simpler. Follow the steps below to apply the English patch, and how to play the game on the system of your choice. The game may be played on any system that can play PSP games, which includes the PSP and PS Vita systems, along with Windows PC, Android and iOS on PSP emulators, among others.

You will need to provide your own disc or ISO of the game.

The Phantasy Star Portable 2 Infinity Wiki will not be providing an ISO of the game for you, you will be required to provide it yourself.

What you will need:

  • PPSSPP Emulator - The best PSP emulator for Android. (This is V1.10.3 as later versions sometimes haev issues with online multiplayer)
  1. Install the ppsspp.apk file on your Android device.
  2. Open the PPSSPP app and choose Create or Choose a PSP folder (do not Use App Private Data) and choose a location of your choice. We recommend putting it into a folder named PSP for simplicity later.
  3. (Optional) After extracting PPSSPP, it is recommended to create a "Games" folder in the same location, and place your PSP2i ISO in here.
  4. Tap Browse and locate the folder of your PSP2i ISO.
  5. Tap the PSP2i icon and the game will boot.

It is recommended that you look through your game settings to set up the emulator to your preferences. You can do this by tapping "Settings" → on the right and working through the various settings. You will be able to tweak graphics, audio, controls and more!
